Within my classroom this past year, I've started using a Wikispace page with my students. I teach 9th grade English, and through the Wikispace page, my studnets are able to collaborate ideas and communicate with one another, as well as myself! During certain times throughout the year, we've read certain novels, and my studnets will answer a posed question by myself, and reply to another classmates post. Students were also able to get creative with this program as well and were known to change their icons to personalize themselves even more. :o)
Great job on the implementation of wikis in the classroom! I know it isn't always the easiest in the district! Next challenge- implementing other Web 2.0 tools without being blocked!!!!!!
